Equipment protection

Conceal the equipment while keeping it accessible.

A useful cover leaves the pump room to cool and lets you reach valves, filters and connections. Start with the equipment instructions and maintenance tasks, then choose the louvres, access panels and finish.

Domestic water pump covers

A custom shell for an existing water pump, with openings arranged around the pipes and the necessary cooling and service clearances.

Rural pump enclosures

Covers for farm or tank-side equipment where standard plastic shells do not fit, with the mounting and environmental exposure included in the brief.

Removable equipment hoods

Lift-off covers or access lids where regular servicing needs an unobstructed view of the equipment, with handling and securing details agreed.

Ventilated screens & panels

Louvred or open-panel arrangements planned around the equipment’s airflow paths, maintenance access and the appearance you want.

Indicative pricing

Indicative pump cover pricing.

Researched planning estimates in NZD, excluding GST. Size, material, ventilation, access panels, pipe openings and finish affect the final quote.

Custom metal pump cover

A fabricated shell or agreed panel assembly around an assessed equipment layout. Supply only.

Estimated $700–$2,500 + GST per cover

  • Shape coordinated with the existing pipework
  • Equipment clearances included in the design brief
  • Removable lid or access panels discussed
  • Finish selected for the location

Pump, plumbing, electrical work, foundations and installation are priced separately. Include any acoustic, weather or ingress-protection requirement in the brief so the appropriate construction and verification can be scoped.

Questions

Common questions about custom water pump and equipment covers.

Will a cover make my pump quieter?

If noise control is the goal, include it in the brief. Matt can discuss the sound source, airflow and installation requirements; any acoustic treatment or verified reduction is scoped separately from a standard cover.

Can the cover be completely enclosed?

The panel arrangement depends on the equipment’s cooling and maintenance requirements. Send the installation instructions so ventilation openings, clearances and access can be planned into the enclosure.

Can you make openings around existing pipes?

Yes. Mark pipe positions and sizes on photos or a sketch, including valves, unions and the space needed to undo them. Removable sections may be more useful than a close-fitting cut-out if the equipment needs regular servicing.

Is this suitable for a heat pump or gas equipment?

Send the exact equipment instructions and any installer requirements. Airflow, clearances and access differ between installations, so Matt will assess the cover for the specified equipment.
