A ramp has to be long enough to be safe and compact enough to fit. We lay it out on site, fold in landings and turns where the space demands, and build it in aluminium so it never needs painting.

Common questions about aluminium access and wheelchair ramps.
How long does a ramp need to be?
The Building Code sets a maximum gradient of 1:12 for accessible ramps, so a 600 mm rise needs about 7.2 m of ramp plus landings. We measure the rise on site and lay out the shortest compliant run.
Do you work with occupational therapists?
Yes. If an OT has specified a ramp for funding, send their report and we build to it and provide the paperwork they need.
Can the ramp be removed later?
Modular ramps bolt to a sub-frame and can be unbolted and taken away or resold. Permanent ramps are fixed to the house and ground.
