Cracked alloy boat hulls, bent trailer drawbars, split toolboxes, broken gates, worn farm gear and the odd job that no one else wants. TIG and MIG welding in aluminium, stainless and mild steel, done properly in the Patumahoe workshop.
What we repair
Repairs are a normal part of a fabrication workshop's week. We look at why it broke, weld it so it stays fixed, and reinforce it where the original design was the problem.
Cracked alloy hulls, transoms, pontoon leaks, bent rails and worn keel strips, welded and pressure or water tested.
Drawbars, A-frames, cross-members, tray floors, canopy doors and toolbox hinges, repaired and strengthened.
Broken gate hinges, bent handrails, yard gear, feeders and implement frames welded back to work.
Split sink welds, bench legs, hood seams and trolley frames repaired to a hygienic finish.

Questions
Yes. Cracked hulls, transoms, pontoons and rails are regular jobs. Bring the boat on its trailer; we weld it, test it and tell you if something else is about to go.
Mostly the job comes to the workshop, which gives a better weld and a lower price. For fixed items like gates, rails and yard gear we can come to you across Franklin.
Usually. A weld repair is a fraction of a replacement, and we will say so if the item is beyond it or a new one would be cheaper.
