Stainless or aluminium?
Aluminium is cheaper and lighter and fine for water and dry feed. Stainless suits meal, minerals and anything acidic, and is the choice for calf feeders that get scrubbed daily.
Will stock damage it?
We build troughs for hard use by the stock they serve, with sturdy edges, supports and anchoring. Tell Matt which animals will use it and how it will be installed so he can build the trough around that work.
Can you fit a float valve?
Yes. Troughs come with a protected valve housing sized for the standard NZ float valves, and a bung for draining and cleaning.
