Questions

Common questions about marine stainless fittings.

Why 316 and not 304 on a boat?

316 has added molybdenum, which resists salt-water pitting. 304 will tea-stain and pit within a season on a boat that lives in salt.

Can you copy a rail from another boat?

Yes. We can work from a photo and key measurements, or from the boat itself on the trailer, and bend the rail to match the deck line.

Do you make aluminium boat parts too?

Yes. Aluminium hardtops, frames, tanks and repairs for alloy boats are all workshop jobs.
