Questions about marine stainless fittings.
Why 316 and not 304 on a boat?
316 has added molybdenum, which resists salt-water pitting. Grade selection also depends on exposure, surface finish, cleaning and the fitting’s use; Matt can specify the material for the particular job.
Can you copy a rail from another boat?
Yes. We can work from a photo and key measurements, or from the boat itself on the trailer, and bend the rail to match the deck line.
Do you make aluminium boat parts too?
Yes. Aluminium hardtops, frames, tanks and repairs for alloy boats are all workshop jobs.
