Questions about custom tiny-home chassis and building bases.
Does a transportable home have to be built on wheels?
No. A module can be designed to remain on its own base and travel as a load on suitable transport equipment. Road towing and truck delivery are different arrangements, so the chosen method needs to be part of the design from the start.
Can you supply a complete road-towed chassis?
Yes. Send the complete building weight estimate, layout and intended towing arrangement. Matt can work through the chassis, running gear, braking and verification scope for that project; a bare steel base price does not include all of those items automatically.
Can the floor be metal as well as the frame?
Yes. We can include metal floor supports and a metal deck or floor system. Share the finished floor build-up, service penetrations and any specified insulation or thermal-separation detail so the layers work together.
Can you take on the building as well as its base?
Yes, send the whole project. We can develop a broader metal structure and enclosure package around the chassis, with fitted metalwork, glazing, insulation, services and delivery responsibilities clearly set out in the project quote.
