The range

The steel behind the wall, the deck and the pergola.

Most renovations need a beam or two, a few posts and a bag of brackets. Fabricators set up for whole buildings charge a premium for that. We do it as a normal job, on a normal lead time.

Beams & lintels

Universal beams, PFCs and boxed lintels with welded end plates, stiffeners and bolt holes to the drawing.

Posts & base plates

Steel posts for decks, verandahs, carports and pergolas with welded base plates and caps.

Brackets, cleats & connectors

Custom brackets, post stirrups, beam hangers and cleats for timber-to-steel connections.

Pergola & shade frames

Steel pergola frames, louvre supports and shade-sail posts, galvanised or powder coated.

Questions

Common questions about structural steel beams, posts and brackets.

Do you do the engineering?

No. Your engineer designs the steel and issues the PS1; we fabricate exactly to that detail. Send the drawings and we quote from them.

Galvanised or painted?

External and in-ground steel should be hot-dip galvanised. Internal beams behind linings are usually zinc primed. Exposed feature steel can be galvanised and powder coated.

Do you install structural steel?

We deliver to site and can craneless-install smaller posts and beams with the builder. Larger steel is usually placed by the builder or a crane contractor.
