Add mesh sides to a suitable trailer or replace an awkward existing cage. We fabricate cage assemblies around the deck, access gates and the material you carry, with weight and attachment requirements assessed before the design is agreed.

Made for your setup
Garden waste, equipment and general bulky loads need different loading arrangements. More cage volume does not increase a trailer’s permitted weight. The cage’s own weight, the existing chassis and attachment method need to be considered with the complete trailer.

A detachable arrangement for trailers that also need to carry loads with the sides removed, with handling and storage discussed.
Rear access planned around loading tools, unloading bulky material and the trailer’s existing tailgate.
Individual panels or repairs to an existing cage, using photos and measurements to assess the frame and fixing details.
Indicative pricing
Researched planning estimates in NZD, excluding GST. Your dimensions, material, finish and fittings determine the final quote.
A fabricated cage assembly for an existing suitable trailer; the trailer itself is not included.
Estimated $1,400–$4,000 + GST per cage
Trailer supply, chassis repairs, roadworthiness work and certification are excluded unless separately agreed. Cage weight and attachments must suit the existing trailer.
Questions
The cage adds to the trailer’s unladen weight, so that weight must be allowed for within the trailer’s rated capacity. Send the trailer details and intended loads so Matt can plan the cage and attachments around the complete setup.
Yes. We make removable cage assemblies with the mounting and handling arrangement designed for your trailer. Include how it will be lifted, who will remove it and where it will be stored.
The existing deck, frame, attachment points and condition need assessment first. Send photos and rating details so Matt can identify what information or repairs are needed before quoting.
For livestock, discuss a purpose-built stock crate. Matt can work through ventilation, access, handling and enclosure details around the animals and trailer; include these requirements in the enquiry.
