The storage options

A cage that works with bottle changes and daily access.

Cylinder dimensions are only the starting point. The door opening, restraint positions and space for handling bottles need to work with the gas supplier’s storage requirements and the way the area is used.

Compact cylinder cages

A made-to-fit mesh cage for a small cylinder group, with lockable access and restraint points arranged for the specified bottles.

Workshop storage cages

Larger enclosures for commercial cylinder storage, with a door arrangement and internal positions that suit the specified gas-storage layout.

Partitioned storage layouts

Separate bays and identification-plate mounts for the stock layout you specify, including full and empty bottle organisation. Gas compatibility and separation requirements form part of the brief.

Replacement doors and cage panels

Renew damaged mesh, doors or frames, or build a new enclosure around an existing cylinder area using measured service and access clearances.

Indicative pricing

Indicative gas bottle cage pricing.

Researched planning estimates in NZD, excluding GST. Overall size, door arrangement, partitions, restraint details, material and finish determine the final quote.

Custom cylinder storage cage

A fabricated frame with mesh panels, door hardware, lock provision and agreed restraint points. Supply-only estimate for compact through larger workshop cages.

Questions

Common questions about custom gas bottle cages.

Can you fit a cage around existing cylinders and pipework?

Yes. Send photos and measurements showing the cylinders, regulators, pipework and access needed to change bottles. Matt can arrange doors and removable sections around that layout and the clearances specified for the installation.

Can you make a larger cage with separate bays?

Yes. We can fabricate multiple bays and separate doors to organise the cylinder stock. Include gas types, cylinder sizes and your required separation layout so the partitions and restraint positions are built into the design.

What site information do you need before fabrication?

Send the proposed location, gas types and maximum quantities, plus the storage and installation requirements from your gas supplier or site adviser. Matt uses that brief to coordinate ventilation, access, restraints, fixing points and space for required signs.

Can it use our existing locks and cylinder restraints?

Yes. Send the lock details, restraint type and photos of the current arrangement. Door hardware and fixing points can be made to suit, with enough access for staff and the delivery driver to work with the bottles.
